Cabot Shores welcomes your dogs!
At Cabot Shores we consider dogs part of the family! It’s not really a vacation when you leave a member of the family behind, so we provide dog-friendly accommodations with room to roam. We have 55 acres to explore, so you’ve got a lot of ground to cover! Your dog(s) can swim in the Indian Brook river, Church Pond, and the Atlantic Ocean while staying at Cabot Shores – and even go out in the canoe or kayak with you, if they are so-inclined! Check out our photos above of dogs in kayaks. Cabot Shores also has a scenic system of trails and a never-ending supply of fresh air.
Dog-Friendly Accommodations
We have several accommodations that are dog-friendly, including:
Mongolian Yurts are dog-friendly with the exception of Lil’ Red and the Sky Yurt. These yurts are available year-round and are insulated with a canvas and felt covering and bound with the traditional use of horse hair rope. Each yurt is handmade and ornately painted by families who live in Mongolia and who have lived in yurts for many generations. Yurts offer a very interesting and unique outdoor experience and have splendid views of our small lake and the Atlantic Ocean. To know more about staying in a yurt during cold weather, visit our FAQ blog. To see more photos or book a yurt, click here.
The fresh smelling and roomy Cedar Yurt is a special experience much different from the Mongolian style yurts. With a double bed and two single bunk beds, a small couch, wood stove and table and chairs, this yurt is capable of hosting up to 4-5 people comfortably. A cedar soaking hot tub is located right outside the door. To know more about staying in a yurt during cold weather, visit our FAQ blog. To see more photos or book a yurt, click here.
Lodge Rooms 5, 6a/6b (which is a suite that can be rented together or separately) are also dog-friendly and each feature their own private outdoor entrance. Located on ground level, stepping out of these lodge rooms leads you to our trails through the apple orchard, to the beach, or down by the brook. To see more photos or book a lodge room, click here.
All four of our Chalets are also dog-friendly and are a lot like being at home. With two floors, full kitchen and two bathrooms, these rustic chalets can accommodate between 6-8 people. There is a large hot tub and BBQ that is available for rent (subject to availability). For more photos, information, or to book a chalet, click here.
Lastly is the Breton Cove farmhouse located approximately 12km from Cabot Shores on the Cabot Trail. Capable of comfortably accommodating up to 12 people, the farmhouse has its own hiking trail bordering the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and is rich in wild flowers, wildlife and is very private.
