The Blue Chalet has a blue roof! It's big enough for up to 7 people and has a full kitchen with the necessary amenities, dining and sitting area, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a covered deck in front, fire pit and picnic table. The bedroom downstairs has a double bed and two twin beds upstairs and also a queen bed inside bedroom. Both living room and loft area have folding futon for extra bedding, Linens, towels, and soap provided. You can also bring your dog for an additional $15 a night. Parking is located behind the chalets. The Blue Chalet looks out over Church Pond and the Atlantic Ocean. A large hot tub on the adjoining deck is available, with great views during all seasons.
The Green Chalet and Hot tub

The Green Chalet has a green roof! It can be your homebase for exploring Cape Breton & the Cabot Trail! It's big enough for up to 8 people and has a full kitchen with the necessary amenities, dining and sitting area, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a covered deck in front, fire pit and picnic table. There is also a wood stove to keep it toasty in colder months. The bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and the large open room upstairs has a queen and 3 twin beds. Linens, towels, and soap provided. You can also bring your dog for an additional $15 a night. Parking is located right behind chalet. There is also a large hot tub available on your deck.
The Tan Chalet and Hot tub

The Tan Chalet has a tan roof! It's big enough for up to 8 people and has a full kitchen with the necessary amenities, dining and sitting area, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a covered deck in front, fire pit and picnic table. The bedroom downstairs has a double bed and the loft room upstairs has a king and 3 twin beds. Linens, towels, and soap provided. You can also bring your dog for an additional $15 a night. This chalet is wheelchair accessible and there is parking right behind it. Large Hot tub is available on your deck.
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for your interest in Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort & Retreat. Please note that it is our policy to collect a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Amex), and retrieve a 50% deposit ahead of time to hold your requested accommodations. We are also required to charge 15% harmonized sales tax.
Cancellations are required 28 days in advance or initial deposit is retained with the option to apply it to another reservation in the next 12 months. A $50 fee will be charged for cancellations made with 28 days advanced notice. Cancellation on your day of arrival, leaving before reservation has expired or arriving late will result in the entire fee being forfeited. We are not responsible for weather conditions.
We are a dog-friendly establishment with a maximum of 2 dogs per accommodation unless special arrangements have been made. The fee is $15 plus tax per day, per dog. There is a small selection of accommodations which are not pet friendly for those with allergies. These include Lodge rooms 1,2,3; all the geodesic domes, and Tiger, Little Red, and Little Sky Yurts.
Cabot Shores is a wilderness resort. We have gardens that produce veggies for the bistro in the summer, an apple orchard that produce cider in the fall, and also chickens year-round that are a delight for many of our guests, especially children. There is also a rooster that makes the hens happy and protects them from predators. He likes to wake up early – our apologies if you are not an early riser, especially for guests staying in the lodge and cedar yurt. We provide ear plugs.
Please note that smoking is not permitted inside Lodge or accommodations according to Canadian law or anywhere close to any buildings There are two designated smoking areas – please inquire at the front desk. There is a $200 room recovery fee for smoking inside any accommodation.
