Explore 55 acres of beaches, ponds, rivers, orchards, and forest trails. Choose your ceremony spot facing east toward the Bird Islands, south along Indian Brook, west to the Cape Breton Highlands, or right on EagleFeather Beach. Host your reception indoors or outdoors, from intimate dinners to wood-fired pizza nights.

You have an easy walk from the bride/groom chalet or yurt and all the outdoor conveniences at hand.

Indian Brook goes into Church Pond and the Atlantic. It is fed by three waterfalls, and the eagle's nest is beyond the second.

You face your guests who see you and a clump of forest--mostly spruce, birch and maple. One couple arrived from Indian Brook in a canoe...but you can walk or drive to the site.

There is a grassy area just before a kayak/canoe launch and the bridge to Eaglefeather Beach.

Eaglefeather Beach — along the Atlantic, dramatic and wild

You take the bridge to Eaglefeather Beach, where eagles fish from spruce trees and the wind can gust up on occasion. This year, it's about a 2000-foot sandy beach, a location where bagpipers have celebrated with music after the vows were taken.

And then it got windy and rained. Everyone, including the Justice of the Peace, got wet. It all can depend on the weather, but some folks absolutely have the beach as their first choice.

Where will the reception be held? *Reception spaces can host meals, dancing, and gatherings, and each can serve as a backup ceremony spot if the weather changes—rain or shine, any season.

Great Room of the Lodge (up to 80 guests)

The Lodge’s Great Room, with its bistro and music space, hosts dinners buffet-style or served, with a separate bar. It also serves as an ideal backup for any outdoor ceremony if the weather turns. Pre-decorated or styled to your taste, it’s a wonderful spot for dining, dancing, and celebrating your first moments as a couple.

Outside you have the area near the wood fired pizza oven for gatherings including Rehearsal Dinners, Cocktail parties, even a large or very large buffet dinner.

Around the Great Room (Bistro/music and entertainment and dancing area) you also have decks for serving good nice weather buffet and cocktails, with great views of the pond, Church Pond and the Bird Islands
