Stay in our Studio Loft

Lodging and Fun in a Flexible Space

The Studio Loft is an expandable space, with sliding glass doors that can be opened to create one large room or closed to provide greater privacy for sleeping.  The glass doors partition off a smaller area that can serve as sleeping space for 2 or 3, with a kitchenette, a bathroom with a shower, and a patio door opening to a 24x24 deck with views of the Atlantic and the Cape Breton Highlands. When the sliding glass doors are closed, the larger area serves as a multi-purpose space, sleeping up to 6 guests on trundle beds and a fold-out futon bed, while providing room to do yoga or meditation or even setting up the ping pong table for some indoor fun.  A second washroom (also with a shower) comes in handy, and larger parties may consider renting the full kitchen downstairs.  Guests may choose to rent a hot tub as an add-on option.

The Studio Loft has a kitchenette with a bar fridge, small microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, and electric kettle, and the option to add on rental of the kitchen on the floor below. The patio doors of the Studio Loft's kitchenette open to a 24x24 deck with views of the Atlantic and the Cape Breton Highlands. The Studio Loft's two bathrooms with shower stalls lend themselves to families or groups.  With the glass doors partitioning the Studio Loft into two distinct spaces, the smaller area (kitchenette side) can serve as sleeping space for 2 on a queen-sized fold-out futon bed, with enough room to also comfortably sleep a child on a mat or in a playpen. The larger area easily sleeps 6 guests, 4 on trundle beds and 2 on a queen-sized fold-out futon, with room leftover to add additional sleeping mats or to do yoga or meditation or set up the ping pong table stored in the space. The Studio Loft is heated by heat pumps and radiant wood floor heat. Linens, towels, and soap are provided.

"Loved the Farmhouse"

Five of us stayed at the Breton Cove Farmhouse. It is quite large, in a secluded meadow and has lovely wood paneling throughout. The trail through the woods to the ocean overlook was fun and the overlook itself was beautiful and peaceful.

"Awesome Long Weekend"

5 couples and 3 dogs stayed in the Breton Cove Farmhouse over Labor Day weekend. We had a great weekend. The house was spacious and had all the amenities we had hoped for. It was very private on a beautiful 60 acre property which is exactly what we wanted.

"Picked Blueberries for Breakfast"

We were very impressed by the private hiking trail behind the farmhouse that led to breathtaking views of the Eastern shores and a blueberry patch where we picked the ripened fruit for breakfast.

~ Jun Chen, Mississauga

"Cozy and Comfortable"

From the outside it looks like a fairly typical farmhouse, but as soon as you step inside it's obvious that it's not typical. Very clean and beautifully redone with pine throughout and the beds were so comfortable.
