Nova Scotia Yurts

Yurts are what most guests picture when they think of Cabot Shores, and we offer four types, so your group size is never a problem. 

  • Small Mongolian yurts sleep one to two, with shared washroom facilities a short walk away. Good for solo travellers and budget-minded pairs.
  • Large Mongolian yurts sleep two to five, which covers a young family or a group of friends.
  • The Cedar Yurt sleeps two to four, hand-built from cedar with a wood stove, a skylight overhead and a hot tub nearby. The one couples book for an anniversary.
  • The Highland Yurt sleeps two to three and sits nestled in the trees, rustic in character but modern in its comforts.

Treetop Domes

Our geodesic domes sleep two to four and stand elevated in the apple orchard, the most unusual room on the property. Couples who want camping without the ground underneath them end up here.

Chalets and Lodge Rooms for Families

Both are hard-walled and heated; these are the safest choice between November and April.

  • The all-season chalets sleep six to seven, with the space a family needs for a week, not just a weekend. 
  • The Little Red Chalet sleeps one to two and suits a couple who want a rustic escape with modern comforts.
  • Whiff’s Lodge holds six guest rooms, each with a private bathroom, sleeping one to five. Parents of small children prefer the lodge for one reason: no one crosses the property in the dark at 2 a.m.

Houses and Suites for Larger Groups

  • The Tiny House sleeps one to two and includes a kitchenette and a private bathroom in the warmer months. 
  • The Studio Loft sleeps eight to 10 and adds a kitchenette plus naturally lit space, which draws family gatherings and retreat groups.
  • The Breton Cove Farmhouse sleeps 10 to 12 under one roof, secluded among the hills. It sits off-site from the main resort, so factor in the drive.

Camping Along Indian Brook

Ten tent sites and two RV sites face the ocean, border the calm water of the brook or sit tucked into the woods. Campers get the same access to the hot tubs and walking trails as everyone else.
