STAY IN OUR FARMHOUSE
Your Home Away From Home
Our traditional-style farmhouse is nestled up in the secluded hills; it is 60 acres on the oceanside of the Cabot Trail in the small community of Skir Dhu. It was the restored 19th century dwelling of the Urquehardt family homestead located directly off the Cabot Trail. 12km away from the main lodge of Cabot Shores, it is a great starting point to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the Cabot Trail.
The Breton Cove Farmhouse
$499/night(Incl. Hot tub) - upto 12 Guests
$15/guest after 12 Guests (Call to Book)
Inside the beautiful farmhouse is a cozy wood stove and heat pump to keep you warm. There is a dining room, full kitchen (electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishware and utensils), two full baths, and a washer/dryer. There are 5 bedrooms (2 downstairs and 3 upstairs), for a total of 3 queens, 1 double and 4 twin beds. There are also 2 couches that fold out into queen beds in the spacious living room. You can also bring your dog for an additional $15 a night. Linens, towels, and soap provided.
The Farmhouse has now been winterized, with the water running all year round and a new heat pump complementing the trusty wood stove.
Trails leading from the farmhouse through a meadow extend through the old growth forest to a look-off over the ocean. A short drive away at the main lodge of Cabot Shores, you can rent kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle boards, go swimming and more. Explore more trails, have an evening of entertainment and great food at our Bistro, a drink at the bar, or just soak in the scenery. You are always welcome.
