They bring the site to life, sharing stories about the people who lived and worked there during the era. In addition to guided tours, visitors can explore the fortress at their own pace. The Fortress of Louisbourg features interactive exhibits that allow visitors to engage with the history hands-on. Patrons can handle period artifacts, try on outfits, or participate in the same everyday activities of that era. The fortress also demonstrates various trades and crafts practiced during the French colonial time, including blacksmithing, weaving, cooking, and cannon firing.

These reenactments recreate scenes of daily life, military drills, or significant historical events, providing an immersive and educational experience. You can also experience special events and themed programs that enhance the visitor experience. These happenings may include music performances, theatrical presentations, traditional feasts, or cultural celebrations, adding an extra layer of entertainment and immersion.
