Imagine the fragrance of fresh cedar as you wake when the sun rises and as you relax in the evening in the graceful circle of a Japanese cedar Ofuro Soaking Tub. Many guests don’t think of the aroma when choosing a place to stay, but it’s a pleasant surprise that delights all our guests.
Our unique cedar Yurt was hand built close to all the amenities you could ask for and with a view of Church Pond with St. Ann’s Bay in the distance.
Upon request, we can have a beautiful cedar soaking tub cozied up next to your Yurt so you and a friend can look for shooting stars in the night sky.
Here’s a peek inside our luxurious cedar Yurt:
Complementing the cedar walls is a beautiful red pine floor (insulated underneath), and overhead is the center piece of the Yurt – a domed skylight. A fireplace ensures comfort for all four seasons. This truly is “glamping” at its best.
The Yurt is designed by the famous cedar home and barrel builder, David Byers of New Brunswick. Here we are installing the Yurt in June (Dr. Paul, David, and Sheldon of Sydney Mines).
David Byers returned in September to make sure all was good with the Yurt and we are delighted with his customer care and the quality of the Cedar Yurt workmanship. To find out more about the wonderful creations made by David, click here.
The story and pictures of the building of the Yurt will be coming soon to our blog. So please look for it. Or “Like Us” on Facebook to stay up to date.
