Suzanne’s Roasted Sesame Tofu

Suzanne’s Roasted Sesame Tofu – serves 8-10


2 lbs extra firm tofu, pressed for 2 hours, then cut into thin 1 x 2 inch pieces


½ cup soy sauce

2 inch piece of ginger, grated

3 cloves of garlic, pressed

4 Teaspoon Sesame oil

2 Teaspoon Rice vinegar

1 cup sesame seeds


Combine all the marinade ingredients and place in the bottom of a glass or metal baking dish

Place the tofu pieces tightly into the marinade in one layer – may need to use a second dish

Marinade for 1 hour

Turn the tofu over and marinade for another hour

Bake the tofu at 375 degrees for 1 hour, turning the pieces after ½ hour

Take care that tofu doesn’t burn*

Serve with Rice Pasta, Garlic Mash or Quinoa and roasted Winter Vegetables – and enjoy!
