Meet the Instructors:
Robin brings over 500 hours of certified yoga teacher training, Thai Yoga Massage and thousands of hours of teaching over the last 8 years from Halifax, and India. She is a part of Halifax’s On The Mat yoga studio where she teaches classes and workshops. Beyond the Mat, Robin’s boundless enthusiasm and caring approach to life frequently takes her to India where she immerses herself in the culture, run a children’s charity and share these experiences while co-leading authentic India retreats.
Robin grew up in a temperate rainforest on B.C’s West Coast, experiencing some of the most beautiful nature in the world. Being an environmentalist led to her BA in Environmental Studies and Resource Geography from UVic. This respect for and understanding of the Earth brought her to yoga, and exploring the interconnectedness between the two.
Blaine is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher who has been teaching since 2014. He is trained in Vinyasa and Yin styles of Hatha yoga. He currently teaches throughout the Halifax area at Clarity Garden Wellness Clinic, the Shanti Yoga studios and HRM Recreation. Through travel to India and a mix of online and in person workshops, he continues to delve deeper into the roots and history of yoga. Blaine has a warm personality and a wealth and depth of knowledge.
He is from Nova Scotia and enjoys promoting activities that highlight the amazing variety of natural experiences here. He is a supporter of the Nova Scotia Nature Trust in their efforts to preserve our ecosystems for future generations. Blaine has been leading retreats, teaching yoga, doing hikes and teaching Standup Paddle Board skills at Cabot Shores since 2015.
Robin and Blaine have yoga’d together in India, fundraised together in Halifax, and are super excited to work together in offering you this weekend in exploring “the Nature of Yoga” and share the amazing vibrations of Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort.
We hope you can join us!
